Day 1 : Nairobi Full Day

Nairobi National Park | David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage | Giraffe Centre | Karen Blixen | Bomas Of Kenya & Carnivore Restaurant

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel at7:00, briefing on your entire travel program. Proceed to Nairobi National park which is the only national park within a city, later visit David Sheldrick orphanage to watch in close up the nurture and feeding of orphaned elephants, hippos, ostriches’. Lunch break at Karen Blixen coffee garden (Tamambo restaurant)

Afternoon Tour Of The Karen Blixen Museum

Its history dates back to 1914, during the First World War, with the arrival of Karen Blixen from Denmark. At the foot of Ngong Hills, Karen Blixen established herself as a farmer. Later visit the Giraffe center to have a close encounter with the giraffes having a chance to feed and take pictures with the giraffes.

Proceed to Bomas of Kenya which show case different cultural displays of different tribes of Kenya. Enjoy different cultural dances

Late evening proceed to carnivore restaurant best known for Game Meat for dinner, back to your Nairobi hotel to for overnight stay.

Day 2 : Nairobi – MT Ololokwe- Samburu National Reserve (5hrs Drive 340km)

Today after an early breakfast check out from you hotel or apartment, drive north via the scenic route of Mt Kenya Region, Hike up Mt Ololokwe with picnic lunch later in the evening drive to Samburu Umoja Camp for your dinner and overnight stay, the camp is in Samburu National Reserve.

Mt Ololokwe Mount Ololokwe (known as Ol Donyo Sabache) is located on Namunyak Conservancy in Samburu East. Namunyak was formed in 1995 and today it consists of 6 group ranches covering an area of 394,000 hectares with a population of approximately 13,000 people. The mountain raises out of the Samburu plains and is around 2000 ASL at its highest point.

Day 3 : Samburu Full Day

This full day in the Samburu Game Reserve will be spent searching for the big five, the Samburu five and observing the vast unspoiled scenery during morning and afternoon game viewing drives.

The park is plentiful with crocodiles that bask on muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys that frolic in the late afternoon sun. Samburu is renowned for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five’.

These five particular animals are usually only found north of the equator – the long necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe which is characterized by its liver-colored geometric patches defined by narrow white lines, the Grevy’s zebra which is smaller than the common zebra and looks more like a horse, the beisa Oryx with black horizontal stripe running across its lower flank and the Somali ostrich males which have blue-grey necks and thighs.

A camel-back safari is a specialty in Samburu, as well as a cultural visit to the Samburu people who depend on their cattle, goat, sheep and donkey can be arranged.

Day 4 : Samburu - Mt Kenya - Nairobi

After breakfast check out from your camp drive to Mt Kenya. A tour of the mountain attractions rain forest, mau mau cave, after lunch drive back to Nairobi arriving in the evening dinner and overnight at a Nairobi Hotel.

Day 5 : Nairobi - Mt Longonot - Naivasha

After breakfast check out from your hotel, drive to Mt Longonot hike the mountain with picnic lunch later drive to Naivasha for your dinner and overnight.

Mt Longonot is just less than 9100 feet above sea level with a tree filled interior and a lonesome steam vent to the northeast.

You start the assent at 6000 feet. Like all good uphill hikes it will lull you in to a sense of false security with a slow gentle rise to the first peak.

This gives you a chance to get your lungs and limbs freed up for the second section, which is the most awesome. At the end of each section there is a rest point where you can prepare yourself for the next part of your journey.

As you heave yourself over the rim of the crater your reward is the awesome sight of Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley and you know that it was all worthwhile. Before making this climb you will need to acclimatize at 6000 feet. A ranger accompanies you on the hike.

He will act as a guide. As there are wild animals in the area he is armed. The whole tour is only about 8–9 km long but very steep, so that the round trip of park gate – Longonot Peak – park gate takes around 5 hours hiking. The gate is around 2150 metres and the peak at 2780 metres but following the jagged rim involves substantially more than the 630 metres vertical difference.

Day 6 : Full Day Naivasha

After breakfast drive to Hell’s national park and later have a tour of the lake with a boat ride then dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Hell’s Gate National Park is famous for its natural hot geysers, eagle and vulture breeding grounds, visitors have the choice of driving, walking, camping, cycling and rock-climbing within the park. Horseback safaris can also be arranged. Hell’s Gate National Park special locations to view include: Fischer’s Tower, formerly a volcano’s plug, the Central Tower and Njorowa Gorges.

Day 7 : Naivasha - Lake Baringo (3 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast check out driver to lake Bogoria check in at your camp with Lunch, afternoon tour lake Bogoria later dinner and overnight at your camp

In the afternoon, we explore Lake Bogoria National Reserve on a game drive and walk around this spectacular lake in the heart of an arid landscape. The soda lake attracts massive flocks of flamingos and is often carpeted in pink, due to the high concentrations of flamingoes.

The western shore has hot springs and spouting geysers, spurting steam and bubbling geothermal pools. Fresh water springs at the lake edge attract an abundance of birds and wildlife. We return to the Lake Bogoria Roberts Camp.

Day 8 : Lake Bogoria - Kitale (4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast check out from your hotel drive to Kitale town lunch en route. You will drive through the arguably the most scenic route in Kenya with breath taking view of Kerio valley. Meet the dare divers of kerio valley who swim with crocodile. Arrive in Kitale check in at you hotel with dinner.

Day 9 : Kitale - Mt Elgon - Kitale

After breakfast drive to Mt Elgon National park, hike the Mt for the entire day. Mt elgon is best known for the salt licking elephant, later drive back to Kitale for your dinner and overnight.

Day 10 : Kitale - Lodwar (6hrs Drive)

Early morning breakfast check out, today we will have a long day drive to lodwar town arrive in the afternoon check in at your hotel relax dinner and overnight.

Day 11 : Lodwar – Turkana Basin Institute – Lake Turkana

After breakfast drive to turkana institute of research which is 1hr 30min drive.  Turkana basin institute facilitates scientific research in the areas surrounding Lake Turkana in the Northern Kenya, particularly prehistory research. Later drive to Lake Eliye Springs resort at the shores of Lake Turkana. Note the road to Eliye springs is off road we need to drive daytime.

Check in with dinner.

Day 12 : Full Day Turkana At Eliye Springs

Full days at Eliye springs, tour the central island. Optional activities at Eliye Sport fishing, Turkana sundowner, Swedish massage, visiting turkana Boma, traditional dance, visit kolkol fish market, visit the archeological of the Turkana Boy. Dinner and overnight at Eliye springs Resort.

Day 13 : Full Day Turkana At Eliye Springs

Day 15 : Lodwar - Nakuru

Check out from your hotel early morning, today we have a long drive to Nakuru town. Hot Lunch en route; arrive in the evening at your hotel check in with dinner and overnight stay at Grand Winston hotel.

Day 16 : Nakuru - Masai Mara

After breakfast check out drive to the Magical Maasai mara, Descend the escarpment and drive to Narok. Hot Buffet Lunch proceed to Masai Mara on arrival after checking-into your camp, freshen-up relax later have introductory afternoon game viewing drive. Masai Mara is famous for its black manned lions and yearly migration of wildebeests between the Month of July to End of October and the big-five.

Day 17 : Masai Mara Full Day

After breakfast, go for a full day of game viewing-drive across the rich savannah grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife is to be found here in the Mara. Picnic lunches will be served at the Hippo pools and dinner and overnight at the Camp. {Optional visit to the Masai Boma or Village}

Day 18 : Masai Mara - Nairobi

After breakfast sun-rise game viewing-drive from (06:30am – 9:45am) This is the best time to spot the cats family when making a kill for their breakfast/lunch as the sun rises-up. Exit the park depart for Nairobi hot buffet lunch en-route Arrive in Nairobi late Afternoon in Nairobi.

Day 19 : Day Trip Lake Magadi
