3 Days/ 2 Nights Ark and Aberdare Country Club Safari from Nairobi takes you to the Aberdare National Park located about 190 kilometers (3 hours drive). Departing Nairobi at 0800 Hours your drive takes you through the Kenyan Highlands, past pineapple and coffee plantations in Thika, Murang’a and Nyeri.
We arrive at your base hotel, the Aberdare Country Club, in time for lunch. Aberdare country club is located on the slopes of Mweiga Hill just, 190 kilometers from Nairobi in Mweiga. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Ark Tree Lodge in the Aberdare National Park located only 17 Kilometers/ 11 Miles away.
Our accommodations are at the Ark Tree Lodge – built in the shape of Noah’s Ark. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife.
The Ark Lodge has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you! All “cabins” have an en-suite shower and bathroom.
Accommodation in The Ark Tree Lodge is in the form of cabins that are self-contained with a shower and toilet. The rooms are on three levels – Deck A, Deck B and Deck C. From the safety and comfort of all the four decks, one can watch the wild animals visiting the water hole in front of The Ark.
The Aberdare National Park animals include the Lion, Leopard, African elephant, African Hunting Dog, Giant Forest Hog, Bushbuck, Mountain Reedbuck, Waterbuck, Cape Buffalo, Suni, Side-Striped Jackal, Eland, Duikers Olive Baboon, Black and White Colobus Monkey and Sykes Monkey.
Rarer sightings include those of the Golden Cat and the Bongo – an elusive forest antelope that lives in the bamboo forest.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Ark Tree Lodge or equivalent
The second day of your safari is spent at the Aberdare Country Club which offers myriad choices of activities including: Horseback Riding, Golf, Bird Watching, Sundowner, Nature Walk, Champagne Breakfast, Bush Culinary Experience, Hiking, Chimpanzee, and Safari Game Drives to the following reserves Solio Game Reserve and Aberdare Game Sanctuary.
The safari returns back to Nairobi on day 3 after breakfast.

Day 1 : Nairobi – Drive To Aberdare Country Club – Ark Tree Lodge
This morning our professional driver guide will brief you on the safari before you proceed to Aberdare National Park. We will drive through the breath taking view of the Central Highlands where you will see coffee and tea plantations.
We arrive at the Aberdare country Club in time for check-in and lunch. This attractive club sits on the side of a hill and enjoys great views of Mt. Kenya. After lunch you will be transferred by bus to the Ark Tree Lodge located 11 Miles/ 17 Kilometers away in the Aberdare National Park.
The Ark Tree Lodge is built in the shape of Noah’s biblical ark and this is where you spend the night enjoying the wildlife that comes to drink and eat the salt by the floodlit watering hole.
The Ark overlooks floodlit water holes visited regularly by buffalo, elephant, wart hog, bush pig, a variety of antelope and occasionally lion and other large animals.
The evening is spent on the open air verandahs or in the public areas, watching the animals and birds as they come to drink. Dinner is served in the dining room. In case one would like to get a wakeup call at night when a particular animal, such as rhino, Lion etc visits the water hole that can be done.

Day 2 : Drive To Aberdare Country Club & Explore
In the morning you enjoy breakfast before returning to the Aberdare Country Club by 0900 Hours. The rest of the day will be at leisure.
The Aberdare Country Club offers various activities including: Horseback Riding, Golf, Bird Watching, Sundowner, Nature Walk, Champagne Breakfast, Bush Culinary Experience, Hiking, Chimpanzee Trekking, and Safari Drive to the following reserves Solio Game Reserve and Aberdare Game Sanctuary.
The game sanctuary is suitable for walking and you may see giraffe, several species of antelope or zebra as you explore, in sight of the distant peaks of Mt. Kenya. Lunch and dinner are included and the cottages at this attractive club are extremely comfortable.

Day 3 : Aberdare – Drive To Nairobi
After breakfast, you leave the Club to return to Nairobi, arriving by 1230 Hours. Our driver guide will drop you off at your hotel or residence.
