3 Days/ 2 Nights Meru National Park Road Safari from Nairobi is a 2 Night holiday package to Meru National Park located at 348 kilometers from the Capital Centre Nairobi. The park is accessed through Nyeri-Nanyuki-Meru or via Embu all weather roads. There are two entrances gates that is the Murera or Maua gate.
Meru National Park major attractions include: Former home of Joy and George Adamson and Elsa the lioness, Views of Mt Kenya, Rivers and riverine habitats, Tana river and Adamson’s falls.
Meru’s animals include: Grevy’s Zebra, Elephants, Eland, Bush Pig, Waterbuck, Cheetah, Leopard, Reticulated Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Bohor Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Python, Puff Udder, Cobra, Buffalo and more than 420 species of birds.
The vegetation is mainly thorny bush land in the North, wooded grasslands in the West and open grassland elsewhere. The park also offers dense riverine forests of Doum and Raffia palm.

Day 1 : Nairobi – Drive To Meru National Park
Our Safaris representative will provide a safari briefing before you depart for Meru National Park. Meru National Park safari is ideal for guests looking for something off the-beaten-track and is well known for its bird life, riverine and forest as well as the dry arid species.
Depart Nairobi in the Morning at 0800 Hours and drive to north to Meru National Park. We shall make a brief stop at Ogutu to see the Equator. We arrive in time for lunch, check-in to our rooms then later relax before the evening game drive.

Day 2 : Explore Meru National Park
We spend a full day in the Meru National Park on morning and afternoon game drive. Meru wildlife includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and Gravy Zebra.
Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet Monkeys and Warthog. You may see Wild dog, Bush baby, Caracal, Cheetah, Civet, Dik-dik, Leopard, Otter, Bush pig, Porcupine, Black and White Rhino.
The rivers are bound with Hippo and Crocodile. Bird life includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel’s Fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings and numerous Weavers.

Day 3 : Meru – Drive To Nairobi
An option of indulging in a pre-breakfast game drive before going back to the camp for a sumptuous breakfast. After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi with lunch en-route to arrive early evening.
