Day by Day Itinerary

1

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha followed by a scenic drive toward Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers breathtaking views of the highlands, Maasai villages, and vast savannah landscapes. After arriving in the Serengeti, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the park’s endless plains.

Serengeti is one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world and is home to large populations of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. If traveling during the migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing. As the sun begins to set, you will proceed to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Serengeti Safari

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The vast plains and diverse ecosystems support a remarkable variety of wildlife, making it one of the best locations in Africa for wildlife photography and predator sightings.

During the day, you may encounter lions resting under acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains for prey, or elephants moving slowly across the savannah. The park is also home to leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park, allowing you to maximize your time exploring this iconic landscape.

Later in the evening, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park -Ngorongoro Crater

Upon arrival at Ngorongoro Crater, descend approximately 600 meters into the crater floor for a game drive. The crater hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests. It is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino.

After a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, continue exploring the crater before ascending to the rim and driving to your lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands or Karatu area for dinner and overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems including groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, and the alkaline lake that attracts thousands of birds.
