Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by Polmans Holiday Tours representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania, Arusha sits at the foothills of Mount Meru and offers a calm, green environment to recover from your journey.
The rest of the day is at leisure. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge, enjoy the swimming pool, or take in views of the surrounding coffee plantations and volcanic landscapes. Your safari guide will brief you in the evening about the upcoming adventure, routes, wildlife expectations, and travel conditions.

Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti National Park (Journey into the Wild)
After an early breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. The drive itself is a safari experience—passing through fertile farmlands, Maasai villages, and dramatic escarpments with panoramic views.
As you descend into the Serengeti ecosystem, the landscape transforms into endless golden plains dotted with acacia trees. You will enjoy an en-route game drive, with early wildlife sightings often including giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and elephants.
Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the afternoon. After check-in, head out for your first official Serengeti game drive, where predators such as lions and cheetahs are often active during cooler hours.
The evening ends with dinner under the African sky, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Overnight in Serengeti
Day 3: Full Day Safari in Serengeti – Heart of Wildlife Action
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the vast wilderness of Serengeti National Park. After an early breakfast, set out with packed lunch for a full-day game drive covering different regions depending on wildlife movement.
The Serengeti is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Expect encounters with lion prides resting under trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, leopards hiding in acacia branches, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebras stretching to the horizon.
If traveling during migration season, you may witness dramatic river crossings or massive herd movements in search of fresh grazing. Your expert guide will track wildlife activity and position you for the best photographic moments.
A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot inside the park, often near rivers or kopjes (rock formations) where wildlife gathers.
Return to camp in the late afternoon for relaxation and sunset views.
Breakfast, Lunch Dinner & Overnight in Serengeti
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Scenic Transition)
Enjoy an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and the light is perfect for photography. After breakfast, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The drive takes you through shifting landscapes—from open plains to highland forests—offering opportunities to spot wildlife even while traveling. You may pass Maasai herders moving cattle across traditional grazing lands, giving a cultural dimension to your journey.
Arrive at the Ngorongoro crater rim in the evening. The first view of the crater is breathtaking—a massive, unbroken volcanic caldera filled with life below.
Enjoy dinner at your lodge while overlooking the crater, often shrouded in mist at sunset, creating a magical atmosphere.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Overnight at Ngorongoro / Karatu
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha (Final Safari Experience)
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater—one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The crater floor is a natural enclosure teeming with wildlife, offering one of the highest chances of spotting the Big Five in a single day. Expect to see elephants in forested areas, lions on the open plains, hippos in swampy pools, and the rare black rhino grazing in the distance.
Your game drive covers lakes, grasslands, and acacia woodlands, all within a compact ecosystem that supports over 25,000 animals.
After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, ascend the crater walls and begin your return journey to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, where your safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or airport.
