(8 Days/ 7 Nights Samburu – Lake Baringo – Lake Bogoria – Lake Nakuru Safari – Lake Naivasha and Maasai Mara from Nairobi is a holiday or a vacation to Samburu Game Reserve – a region where Kenya’s savannah gives way to desert scrub and mountains and to the world famous Bird Watchers’ Paradise Lakes of the Great Rift Valley which include: Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria, Lake Nakuru Lake Naivasha and Maasai Mara.)
Our 8 Days safari departs from Nairobi and visits Samburu National Reserve – one of the lesser-known national parks, but is nevertheless teeming with life. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five).
After 2 Nights in Samburu Game Reserve, we proceed to Lake Baringo – one of the two freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley in Kenya, the other being Lake Naivasha. Lake Baringo is home to hippos and crocodiles as well as an abundance of colorful birds and small reptiles. Giraffe and other grazers are also present to the north of the Lake.
We proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. On our way we visit Lake Bogoria popular for its spectacular Flamingo populations, the surrounding bush and grassland is home to a number of animals.
The Reserve’s herd of rare Greater Kudu makes it unique and other game to view includes buffalo (rare), zebra, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena, impala, dik dik and many small mammals.
Lake Nakuru known as a bird sanctuary, Flamingo (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 780 species are found in the park. There are over different species of mammals including white rhinos, waterbuck etc.
Later proceed to the Magical Masaai Mara National Reserve Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall year round.
The sensation of the great wildebeest migration between July and October is unparalleled.

Journey
Day 1 : Nairobi – Drive To Samburu Game Reserve
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive through the coffee and tea plantations of the Kenyan highlands and down into the Laikipia plains and the semi arid of Samburu County to arrive in time for lunch.
After lunch relax at the lodge before the is an afternoon game drive in search for the unique game species particular to this reserve such as the Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffes and Grevy’s Zebras.

Day 2 : Explore Samburu Game Reserve
Today we spend the day on morning and afternoon game-drives. We enjoy lunch in between the game drives and some leisure time.
Samburu offers great chances of spotting leopard resting on trees along the banks and northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five).

Day 3 : Samburu – Drive To Lake Baringo
Drive across the Northern Frontier District to Lake Baringo, a fresh water Rift Valley lake, famous for its magnificent bird life.
Lake Baringo is well known for two of its waters’ residents–Hippo and Crocodile. Hippos are seen in the lake on boat trips, and at Lakeside lodges and camps. They are seen also seen at night grazing the lawns.

Day 4 : Lake Baringo – Lake Nakuru National Park
Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. On our way we visit Lake Bogoria to view the Hot Geysers and springs.
Lake Bogoria also a bird sanctuary park with amazing scenery, we enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.
Arriving in the afternoon at Lake Nakuru, game drive enroute to your lodge later an evening game drive, the game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird life.
The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 700 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 5 : Lake Nakuru National Park – Drive To Naivasha
Morning game drive to savour the beauty of the park, Later we depart by road for Lake Naivasha. Our accommodations are located right by Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake.
We visit Elsamere — the former home of the late Joy Adamson who, together with her husband George, became world famous for their pioneering conservation work and relationship with the Lioness Elsa, as told in her best-selling book and subsequent film: Born Free.
After lunch we take a boat ride to Crescent Island. Many different types of animals are found in the Island as we take a walk with the expert resident naturalist. Giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeest, Gazelles, Impala, Dik diks can be seen during the walk.
We retire back at our cozy accommodations either at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Similar

Day 6 : Lake Naivasha — Drive To The Masai Mara Game Reserve
This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino.
Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game viewing drive. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see.
Residents among the Park’s are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

Day 7 : Discover Masai Mara Game Reserve Full Day
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.
During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people (at an extra cost) to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Day 8 : Masai Mara Game Reserve – Drive To Nairobi
Early morning tea/coffee or Hot chocolate then depart for a morning game drive. Breakfast will be served at the camp, depart to Nairobi.
Lunch will be served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi (at an extra cost).
Hot buffet lunch available enroute on request.
After lunch, transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight with Africa Safari memories which will last forever.
